One of the most celebrated comedy movies of the ’80s is arriving soon on Netflix. Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life came out in 1983 and was one of the most well-known cinematic projects developed by the iconic Monty Python troupe.
Two of the show’s highlight are the Act II opening song “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” which was borrowed from another Python film, “Life of Brian,” and the rousing final number — “Find Your Grail,” with the lyrics “Keep your eyes on the goal/Then the prize you won’t fail/That’s your grail.”
What the Monty Python musical succeeds most at in this revival, playing at The Bushnell through Dec. 14, is in parodying traditional Broadway musicals.
